BUTLER TABBED HOCKEY EAST CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Senior forward
Bobby Butler (Marlboro, Mass.) of the University
of New Hampshire men’s hockey team was named Hockey East
Co-Player of the Week. The announcement was made Monday by the
league office. He becomes the first Wildcat to earn this honor
since Greg Collins did so Jan. 5, 2009.
Butler has been red-hot for the Wildcats scoring, three goals in
the weekend series at UMass, including a pair of goals Saturday
night in a 4-2 win. Butler netted the first goal Saturday night, as
well as the game-winning goal. The league’s top goal scorer
has scored five goals in the last four games and has already
matched last season’s nine goals.
UNH returns to action when it begins a home-and-home series with
Boston University. The teams will play Friday, Nov. 20 (7 p.m.) at
the Whittemore Center and square off Saturday, Nov. 21 (7 p.m.) at
Agganis Arena. Saturday’s game at BU will air live on NESN.
