MEN’S HOCKEY NAMED TEAM OF THE WEEK
DURHAM, N.H. –  University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team was named Team of the Week by College Hockey News after sweeping a two-game home series with No. 4 Colorado College this past weekend.

For the first time since 2003-04, the Wildcats have opened the season 3-0-0. In the Hockey East, they are currently tied for fourth place in the conference with a 1-0-0 record.

The Wildcats’ most impressive win in the series came on Friday night as the team came back from a 3-1 Colorado College lead in the first period to win the game 5-3. UNH came back from the deficit with timely goals from Fornataro and junior Jerry Pollastrone, who both tallied two goals in the contest.

This weekend the Wildcats will face off against the Northeastern Huskies in a split series. On Friday night they will play at Matthews Arena in Boston and on Saturday UNH returns home to the Whittemore Center in Durham. Tickets go on sale at the box office on Wednesday Oct. 31.
