REGAN NAMED HOCKEY EAST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
WAKEFIELD, MASS. – Senior goaltender Kevin Regan (South Boston, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team was named Pure Hockey Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week, for the second time this season. The announcement was made on Monday afternoon by the league office.

Regan tallied 33 saves to record his seventh career shutout in a 2-0 win over Maine on Sunday. Regan recorded double digits in saves in all three periods (12-10-11) and held the Black Bears scoreless on six power-play opportunities. Regan, who is already the University's career save percentage leader, moved into second in career saves (2,534), and is third all-time in wins (54), games played (90).

The No. 9-ranked Wildcats (9-4-1) will face No. 7 North Dakota (8-6-1) on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 28-29 in Grand Forks, N.D. Puck drops at 8:30 p.m. (EST) on Friday night and 8 p.m. on Saturday at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
