Regan helped lift UNH to a 4-1 win over Hockey East foe Boston University in the season opener on Friday night. Regan, who was named the game's No. 1 star, finished with 30 saves, including 12 in the first period when BU scored its only goal, and 10 in the third to protect the Wildcats' lead.
He is a perfect 1-0-0 this season, allow just a single power-play goal after facing 31 shots on Friday night.
In 81 career games as a Wildcat, Regan owns a 48-21-9 overall mark to go along with six shutouts, a 2.30 GAA and .928 save percentage.
The No. 6 ranked Wildcats (1-0-0) will face No. 4 Colorado College (2-0-0) on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27 to open the home portion of the regular season. Puck drops both nights at 7 p.m. at the Whittemore Center.
