WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Seniors Mike Radja (Yorkville, Ill.) and Kevin Regan (South Boston, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team were named Hockey East Player and Goalie of the Month, respectively, for February. The announcements were made on Tuesday morning by the league office.

Radja was red-hot in the month of February tallying a point in all eight games of the month including five multi-point efforts. Radja recorded 16 points (5g,11a) in eight game averaging 2.0 points per game. Radja had three games with three points including a hat trick in a 3-2 win at Maine on Feb. 8. Radja also had three points including the game-winning goal in UNH’s 4-3 win over Providence on Feb. 16. Radja  surpassed the 100-point and 50 goal milestones during the month of February when the Wildcats went unbeaten at 7-0-1. He netted two game-winners during the month, Feb. 8 at Maine and Feb. 16 vs. Providence.

Regan was outstanding in the month of February for the No. 3 ranked Wildcats. The senior netminder went undefeated garnering a 7-0-1 mark, with a 1.24 GAA and a .962 save percentage. Regan had a shutout against Boston College on Feb. 22 at Conte Forum and he stopped a career-high 52 shots in a 1-1 tie at Providence on Feb. 15. Regan allowed two goals or less in seven of the eight games. He notched at least 25+ saves in seven of his eight starts in the month.

The No. 3-ranked Wildcats (22-7-3) conclude the regular season at home this weekend, March 7-8, with a two-game series vs. the University of Vermont (13-12-7). Friday’s game begins at 8 p.m. (CSTV) and Saturday’s Senior Day game has a seven o’clock start time (NHPTV).
