PARKHURST NAMED EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF UNH SPORTS RADIO NETWORK
DURHAM, N.H. – Dan Parkhurst, a 1993 alum of UNH, has been hired as the executive producer of the UNH Sports Radio Network and the play-by-play broadcaster for men’s hockey. (He replaces Dick Osborne.)
   
“We are thrilled to have Dan join us on the Radio Network,” said Dot Sheehan, Sr. Associate Athletic Director for External Relations and the General Manager of the Radio Network. “He has tremendous hockey experience and is a true professional on the air.  He’s been a big part of the UNH family for a long time and we look forward to this increased role for Dan.”
   
Parkhurst owns SportDesign.com and is the UNH online shopping cart vendor, and is the exclusive apparel and merchandise vendor for UNH football and men’s hockey games at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester.
   
Parkhurst’s radio experience includes play-by-play with Merrimack College from 1998 to 2001.  His television experience includes play-by-play for New Hampshire Public Television and ESPNU.

Parkhurst will continue his play-by-play work with NHPTV and ESPNU.

His first radio game will be Friday, Oct. 12 when UNH plays New Brunswick in an exhibition game.
