MIKE RADJA NAMED HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR DECEMBER
    WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Junior forward Mike Radja (Yorkville, Ill.) of the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team was named CCM/RBK Player of the Month for December by the Hockey East Association on Wednesday afternoon.

    Radja, who won the award for the first time in his career, posted seven points (4g, 3a) with a +4 rating helping the No. 2 ranked Wildcats to a 4-1-0 record in the month of December. He posted a point in four of the five games, including multi-point efforts in three of those games and a two-goal effort in the 4-1 win against Vermont on Dec. 3rd.
    He ranks tied for third on the team in scoring with 22 points (14g, 8) with a +17 plus/minus rating in 18 games for the ‘Cats. Radja ranks first in Hockey East with 14 goals, while his point total is tied for fifth best among conference skaters. He has registered 14 (9g, 5a) of his 22 points in 12 Hockey East contests. His 0.78 goals per game ranks fifth best in the nation among Division I players.
    The No. 4 ranked Wildcats (14-3-1, 10-1-1 HE) return to action on Friday, Jan. 5 at Vermont. Game time at Gutterson Field House is 7:30 p.m. in Burlington, Vt. The game will be televised live by NESN in the opener of Hockey East’s television package.
