Micflikier named Hockey East Player of the Week

DURHAM, N.H.-- Junior forward Jacob Micflikier (Winnipeg, Manitoba) of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team was named CCM/Reebok Player of the Week by the Hockey East Association on Monday afternoon.

Micflikier finished the week with four points in wins against No. 14 ranked Boston University and No. 4 ranked Maine. Micflikier tallied a goal and assist in each game, including the game-winning goal Saturday night in the 4-2 victory vs. the Black Bears at the Whittemore Center.

He ranks third on the team in scoring with 11 points (4g, 7a) in 10 games in 05-06. Micflikier has notched eight points in his last four games with 3-5-8 during that time. In 91 career games as a Wildcat, Micflikier has totalled 35 goals and 46 assists for 81 points and is the active career leading scorer for UNH.

The No. 7 ranked UNH Wildcats (6-3-1, 5-1-0 Hockey East) return to action at home on Friday, Nov. 18 against UMass-Lowell. Game time at the Whittemore Center is 7 p.m.
