UNH HOSTS EPISODE TWO OF AMERICA EAST ON CAMPUS, WHICH PREMIERES TUESDAY ON NESN
DURHAM,
N.H. – The second episode in the fifth season of
America East On Campus, the conference's half hour magazine show
that looks at what's happening around America East on the playing
field, in the classroom and in the community, debuts on Tuesday on
NESN at 6:30 p.m., directly preceding the Hartford-Vermont women's
contest. The program will re-air on NESN Jan. 27 at 11 p.m. and
debut on MASN on Jan. 29 at 1:30 a.m. and appears again at 1:30
p.m.
The episode, which is set at the University of New Hampshire and
hosted by Eric Frede, will give fans the latest news and notes from
around the men's and women's basketball circuit and take an
in-depth look at some of the league's top programs. Boston
University's first-year head coach Pat Chambers was mic'd up for
his team's trip to Lundolm Gym earlier this month and Frede sat
down with the Wildcats' Radar Onguetou, an All-Academic performer
from Cameroon with aspirations beyond basketball, in the Best of U.
segment. On the women's side, Frede looks at the conference's top
two programs, Hartford and Vermont, and the possibility of both
teams earning NCAA Tournament berths. The final segment will look
back to October when 19 America East student-athletes got together
at conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) meeting and
discussed the value and sportsmanship.
America East On Campus is produced by Cod Rock Media of Kittery,
Maine, which is owned by Frede and Dan Hannigan. Four original
episodes will be produced and distributed during the 2010 season.
NESN will debut all four episodes, while several re-airings will
also air on the network and MASN, located in the
Baltimore/Washington D.C. area will also carry the show.
Episode 3 of America East On Campus premiers Feb. 14 at 3:30 p.m.
on NESN, while the fourth and final episode debuts Feb. 27 at 4:30
p.m.
