CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The America East conference announced Friday that junior guard Tyrece Gibbs (Brockton, Mass.) and freshmen guards Alvin Abreu (Lynn, Mass.) and Tyrone Conley (Burlington, Vt.), all members of the University of New Hampshire men’s basketball team, were honored at the conference’s annual awards banquet.

Alvin Abreu

Gibbs was named to the America East All-Conference Third Team, joining Matt Acres (1997-98) and Jermaine Anderson (2006-07) as just the third Wildcat to ever receive the honor.

Abreu and Conley were selected to the America East All-Rookie Team, making UNH the only team with two players on the squad. They become the 15th and 16th UNH players to garner the award, and the first since senior forward Mike Christensen (Reston, Va.) was named to the team at the end of the 2004-05 season.
