Blagoj Janev

At UMBC, Janev shot 9 of 16 from the field and 4 of 10 from behind the three-point line. He led the Wildcats with 23 points (one point shy of his career-high 24) and pulled down eight rebounds against the Retrievers. New Hampshire won the contest, 72-58.

At Stony Brook, Janev once again led New Hampshire in scoring with 17 points. He shot 6 of 11 in field goals and contributed with five boards, two assists and two steals against the Seawolves. Janev's efforts helped secure New Hampshire's third straight win (54-50), a feat that hadn't been accomplished since the 2001-02 season.

Janev has scored in double figures 12 times this season and has been the high scorer for 10 games.

The honor is the first in Janev's career at New Hampshire. Previously, he was named Rookie of the Week during the 2003-04 season for the week of January 4, 2004.

New Hampshire (5-11, 3-3 America East) hosts Granite State rival Dartmouth College Monday, January 16 at 7 p.m. and will stay at home against the University of Maine January 19 at 7 p.m.
