New Hampshire Basketball to host summer camps

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team is pleased to announce it will be hosting the "King of the Coast" high school tournament, the "Wildcat Day Camp" and the "Northeast Elite Camp" during the 2001 summer.

The King of the Coast is a boys high school varsity and junior varsity summer tournament with certified officials, two divisions and a championship tournament format being held from June 29 to July 1. The Wildcat Day Camp will be held from July 22 through July 26 and is intended for boy and girl youth basketball players from grade 2 through 8. The Northeast Elite Camp is intended for boys age 13-18 and will be held from August 3 through August 5.

"The goal of our camps are to provide each camper with a positive, fun filled learning experience," said UNH men's head coach Phil Rowe. "The camps will be staffed by quality coaches, past and present players and the finest high school coaches in the northeast. Our Northeast Elite Camp is looking to attract those individuals who have a strong desire to improve their skill level and ultimately reach their true potential."
