Mark Yeaton Ineligible For Remainder Of 1999-2000 Men's Basketball Season

DURHAM. N.H.-- Freshman guard Mark Yeaton (Concord., N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team is ineligible to compete for the remainder of the 1999-2000 season following his violation of team academic policies in his first semester at UNH. The announcement was made today by first-year head coach Phil Rowe.

Yeaton can practice with the team and may rejoin the squad next season if he meets the necessary team academic standards.

Yeaton, Who played in nine games this season for the Wildcats, averaged 5.6 ppg in his rookie season, while also recording 1.9 rpg, dishing off seven assists and making eight steals.

A graduate of Bishop Brady, Yeaton led his former school with averages of 25.0 ppg., 8.0 apg. and 6.0 rpg during his senior year.
