Gymnastics team announces Kids' Night Out (Dec. 2) and Meet the Team (Dec. 4)
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire gymnastics program announces an opening weekend of excitement beginning with a special Kids' Night Out event on Friday, Dec. 2, from 6-10 p.m. and the annual "Meet the Team" on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. in Lundholm Gymnasium.
Kids ages five to 13 are invited to perform gymnastics with instruction and supervision from members of the UNH gymnastics team at the Kids' Night Out while also enjoying movies, games and pizza with the Wildcats. The event, which will take place at the gymnastics gym located in the UNH Field House, includes autographs and a chance to take pictures with the Wildcats. Kids' Night Out, a fundraiser for the UNH gymnastics program, costs $25 per child or $40 for two or more children from the same family. For more information on this event, email email@example.com or download a KIDS' NIGHT OUT REGISTRATION FORM.
Fans are invited for a 2012 season preview at the "Meet the Team" performance that will feature a blue/white competition from the gymnasts on all four events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. The squad, led by co-captains Ali Carr (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Courtney Connors (Buffalo, N.Y.), will be split into two separate teams that will compete head-to-head in an exhibition. This will be followed by a girls' clinic, where girls ages five and older will have the chance to work with the UNH gymnasts and coaching staff. The day will include an autograph session with the Wildcat student-athletes.
Tickets for the "Meet the Team" exhibition are $7 for adults, $5 for under-18 and seniors, and free for UNH students. The lecture/participation clinic after the exhibition costs $10 and includes free admittance to the exhibition. Download a MEET THE TEAM CLINIC REGISTRATION FORM.
