DURHAM, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team is headed to North Carolina State on Sat., March 21, to take part in the East Atlantic Gymnastic League Championships. The action is set to begin at 3 p.m.
Other teams in the conference in addition to UNH, include West Virginia, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Maryland, Pittsburgh, George Washington and Rutgers.
The Wildcats are looking to improve on last year’s third-place finish at EAGLs and also need to post a team score in the high 195’s or higher in order to make it to the NCAA Regionals this season. The team is presently ranked 37th in the nation and needs to make the top 36 teams to be selected for NCAA Regionals. The NCAA field of teams will be announced on Mon., March 23.
The Wildcats completed the regular season with a 15-8 overall record and posted a season-high score of 196.225 in a victory over North Carolina, so UNH has scored over 196 once this season.
