UNH GYMNASTS SUFFER FIRST LOSS OF THE SEASON AT MINNESOTA

MINNEAPOLIS--The University of New Hampshire women's gymnastics team suffered its first loss of the young season on Saturday evening following a 191.65-189.30 loss at the University of Minnesota. The Wildcats are now 3-1 in 2008.
    Sophomore Helena Diotati (Scarborough, Maine), took first on bars with a score of 9.725 and tied for first on vault with a judegment of 9.825. Diodati has notched at least a tie for first place on bars and vault in all three meets so far this season.
    For the second consecutive meet, Kelsey Alwin (St. Michael, Minn.)nabbed third place on vault with an impressive score of9.675.
    On bars, senior Beth Bronson (Jacksonville, Fla.) tied for third with a score of 9.675.
    The team leader on beam was sophomore Keeley Smith (University Place, Wash.), who placed fourth overall with a mark of 9.60.
    The Wildcat gymnastics team returns to Durham for three straight home meet, beginning on Jan. 26 vs. Pitt and BYU in Lundholm Gym. The meet is set to begin at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at www.unhwildcats.coM.
