DURHAM, N.H.—Six members of the University of New Hampshire women’s gymnastics team were named to the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches for Women Academic All-America team.
    Senior Rebekah Porter (Valparaiso, Ind.) was named to the squad for the third consecutive time and posted a 4.0 GPA as a Kinesiology/Athletic Training major. Porter, who also earned the honor in 2005 and 2006, is presently working as an athletic trainer with the UNH football team.
    Sophomore Lindsay Kovary (Huntington Station, N.Y.) received the honor for the second straight time and checked in with a 3.79 GPA as a Biology major.
    Earning the honor for the first time in their collegiate gymnastics careers were freshmen Kelsey Alwin (St. Michael, Minn.) with a 3.63 GPA in Nursing; Helena Diodati (Scarborough, Maine) with a 3.75 as an undeclared major; Keeley Smith (University Place, Wash.) with a 3.88 GPA in English/Journalism and junior Beth Bronson (Jacksonville, Fla.) after posting a 3.86 in Family Studies.
