CRAIGUE HONORED AS AMERICA EAST FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.Sarah Craigue (Concord, N.H.), a senior forward on the University of New Hampshire field hockey team, was honored as Player of the Week by America East on Tuesday.

Craigue recorded career highs in both goals (two) and points (four) to lead UNH to its first win of the season, a 3-0 victory against Radford University in second-day action of the AU Tournament Championship on Aug. 31.

Craigue scored what proved to be the game-winning goal when she gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute, then struck again early in the second half to give the ‘Cats a commanding three-goal advantage. For the weekend she recorded a team-high eight shots, including two against 15th-ranked American University on Aug. 30.

The two goals, four points and eight shots are all tied for the league lead.

In 53 career games (47 starts), Craigue has compiled 11 goals and five assists for 27 points.

New Hampshire (1-1) returns to action Sept. 5 for its home opener against Brown University. Game time at Memorial Field is 2 p.m.
