BOSTON - Marcie Boyer (Dillsburg, Pa.) and Jen Stamp (Tyngsboro, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire field hockey team were named to the America East All-Championship Team, the conference announced at the conclusion of Sunday's tournament.
Both players were All-Conference First Team selections this season and recorded an assist in UNH's 4-3 overtime loss to Maine in the semifinals of the America East Championships.
Boyer, a senior midfielder, led the team in goals (14), assists (nine) and points (37). Those numbers rank 12th in the nation in points, 17th in points per game, 13th in goals and 20th in goals per game, as well as second in America East in both scoring and goals and fourth in assists. Her season highlights included two game-winning goals and scoring a career-high six points with two goals and two assists at Rhode Island.
Stamp, a junior forward, ranked second on the team in goals (12), assists (eight) and points (32). She is third in the conference in points and fourth in goals. Stamp led the team with four game-winning goals (Syracuse, UConn, Yale and Boston U.) and recorded three two-goal games, which included a career-high five points against Yale.
UNH won a share of the America East regular-season title with a 4-1 conference record and ended the season at 12-8.
