CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College recorded its fourth shutout of the year, blanking visiting New Hampshire 3-0 in field hockey action Tuesday night at Alumni Stadium. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 10-6 overall, while Boston College improves to 9-8.
Kellie Misiaszek scored her team-leading eighth goal 9:57 into the match to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
Boston College would remain offensively quiet until the final minutes of the game. Freshman Christy Zider and junior Nichole Bukowski each scored in the last five minutes to create the final margin.
Senior goalkeeper Jill Dedman, who posted her tenth career shutout, stopped a New Hampshire penalty stroke with under two minutes left to preserve the blanking.
UNH junior goaltender Amy Agulay (London, Ontario) made 13 saves in the game.
The field hockey team returns to action on Friday, October 29 when they host Delaware at 3:30 p.m. in Durham.
