Football Season Promotional Schedule Announced


DURHAM, N.H. – The 18th-ranked University of New Hampshire football team kicks off the home portion of its 2012 season Saturday, Sept. 15, at 12 p.m. against Central Connecticut State. It will be Kids' Day, Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day and Welcome Back 'Cat Pack Day at Cowell Stadium.

Kids' Day features one (1) free youth ticket with the purchase of one (1) youth ticket, plus members of the kids' club will enjoy face painting with members of the UNH women's basketball team and dance team. Kids' club members will receive a free 2012 UNH football team poster and have the chance to get the poster autographed by members of the Wildcats after the game. 

Season ticket holders are invited to join athletic director Marty Scarano and UNH athletics department staff members at the Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Event starting at 11:00 a.m. inside the stadium. Chill Catering and Coca-Cola will provide food and beverages for this special event.

UNH students are encouraged to get to the stadium early to join the 'Cat Pack Student Section. The first 500 students in attendance will receive a 2012-13 'Cat Pack Superfan T-shirt at the 'Cat Pack Student Section Fan Zone behind the student bleachers, and students can win prizes and have their photos taken with Gnarlz by the Pawparazzi Fan Pix team.

VIP Parts, Tires and Service will be announcing the first eight lucky winners of its VIP Road Trip to see the Oct. 20 UNH/Maine game in Orono. Other game day promotions and giveaways include Bill Dube Scion's $10,000 Perfect Toss competition, the Domino's Pizza Lucky Fan of the Game and great prizes from such Wildcat partners as Buffalo Wild Wings, Café Espresso, Mino's Roast Beef & Seafood, the Works Bakery Café and Mr. Bubbles Car Wash.

Tailgating areas open at 8:30 a.m. (7:30 a.m. on Homecoming). Priority parking (alcohol permitted) is reserved by permit only for UNH guests and official functions; Boulder Field has limited parking, and alcohol is permitted; Lot A features alcohol-free tailgating, except for Homecoming when alcohol is permitted.
