Football Celebrates Earth Day by cleaning up around Durham
DURHAM, N.H. – Players and coaches from the University of New Hampshire football program joined forces to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday by volunteering their labor around the Durham area, pitching in at locations including the Schoolhouse Lane Cemetery and Jackson's Landing community park.
Earth Day, which was founded in 1970, is the annual worldwide display of appreciation of the Earth's natural environment. It is formally recognized April 22.
