DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire football program announces the 2011 Wildcat Football Camp will take place Sunday, July 17-Thursday, July 21 at the UNH football facilities. The UNH coaching staff, select area high school coaches and other New England college coaches will provide skills instruction for campers in grades 6 through 12.
The Wildcat Football Camp is a full-contact camp offering specialized and technical instruction to athletes of every group regardless of skill or position. Time will be spent teaching each athlete both offensive and defensive skills, as well as flexibility and weight training. Each camper will receive personal attention from the best college and high school coaches in the area, giving campers the opportunity to sharpen their skills and techniques shortly before they begin practice with their own teams for the 2011 season. Each athlete will receive a free camp t-shirt.
Grades 6-9 will practice separately from grades 10-12. There will be one hour devoted to offense and one hour devoted to defense each day, with kicking instruction taking place from 5:30-6:00 p.m. nightly. Registration and camper check-in will be from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, and the camp will close with a full-contact scrimmage on Thursday, July 21, at approximately 6:30 p.m. There will be a certified athletic trainer in attendance before, during and after all practice sessions.
Camp tuition will be $165 if paid before July 1 and $175 if paid after July 1, including a $30 non-refundable administrative fee. Campers must supply their own approved helmet, shoulder pads, pants, football shoes and mouth guard.
