UNH FOOTBALL MOVES UP ONE SPOT TO SEVENTH IN THE SPORTS NETWORK I-AA POLL

PHILADELPHIA-- The University of New Hampshire football team moved up one spot to seventh this week following an impressive defensive performance in a 27-3 victory at Rhode Island on Nov. 6. This matches the highest ranking of the season for the Wildcats, who were also ranked seventh in the poll following the off week on Oct. 9. UNH was also ranked seventh in this week's ESPN/USA Today I-AA Poll.

UNH is now the second-highest ranked team in the Atlantic 10, behind only first-place James Madison, a team now No. 4 in the poll after defeating Delaware last week.

UNH is now 7-2 overall and in first place in the Northern Division of the Atlantic 10 Football Conference with a 4-2 league record. The 'Cats are off to their best start since the 1994 season. That year, the team finished with a 10-2 record and lost in the first round of the NCAA I-AA playoffs to Appalachian State.

The Wildcats, who have won an all-time best six regular season road contests, will return home to Cowell Stadium for Nov. 13 matchup vs. Towson. Game time is 12 p.m.
