UNH FOOTBALL DEFEATED BY MAINE, 55-10

ORONO, Maine -- Maine's Royston English ran for 137 yards and five touchdowns as the University of New Hampshire football team fell to Maine, 55-10, at Alfond Stadium on Saturday.

UNH ends its season at 6-5 overall, 4-4 in the Atlantic 10.

The Black Bears (5-6, 3-5) led 27-3 at halftime behind three touchdowns from English. Junior Shawn MacLean (Salem, Mass.) kicked a 37-yard field goal for the Wildcats only points of the first half.

Maine outscored UNH 28-7 in the second half.

Junior Ryan Day (Manchester, N.H.) hit senior Randall Williams with an 18-yard pass in the fourth quarter for UNH's only visit to the endzone.
