DURHAM, N.H.-The University of New Hampshire football team was ranked sixth in the Lambert Trophy race for Division I-AA football.
The Lambert/Meadowlands Football awards are among the oldest prizes in college athletics. Established in 1936 as the Lambert Trophy, the award has since grown to recognize supremacy in Eastern football in Divisions 1-A, 1-AA, II and III. One hundred and sixty schools are eligible for the Lambert Awards this year. The following is a look at the rankings through Sept. 16 in 1-AA.
