Gymnastics Scores Season-High 195.175 at Pitt

Lauter (9.875), Bondanza (9.850) Anchor Powerful Beam Lineup
PITTSBURGH – Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) tied for the uneven bar championship in the opening rotation, and Casey Lauter (Northport, N.Y.) earned a share of first place on balance beam in the final rotation to power the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team to Saturday afternoon's season-high 195.175 in a setback at the University of Pittsburgh (196.225) at Fitzgerald Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST ROTATION
•Mulligan and Diggan were part of a five-way deadlock for the bars title with a score of 9.875. Pitt's Catie Conrad, Haley Brechwald and Lucy Brett shared the podium. UNH totaled a 48.775 on bars.
SECOND ROTATION
•Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) and Marissa Toci (Mount Laurel, N.J.) stuck their vaults to anchor the lineup with matching marks of 9.800 (T-2nd). Courtney Bondanza (Buffalo, N.Y.), Danielle Doolin (Medford Lakes, N.J.) and Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H.) all scored a 9.700 to propel the 'Cats to a 48.700.
THIRD ROTATION
•After struggling in the season's first two meets on floor exercise, the Wildcats returned to form and performed with confidence. Lia Breeden (York, Pa.) set the tone with a solid set (9.700). Ava Watkins (9.725, T-6th) and O'Leary (9.750, 5th) kept the momentum going, and Doolin capped the rotation with a 9.825 for a share of second place.
FOURTH ROTATION
•Led by Lauter (9.875), who equaled Conrad for the top individual mark, the Wildcats' beam lineup broke out for a 49.025. Bondanza set a personal best with a 9.850 for third place, and Riley Freehling (Southington, Conn.) set a career high with a 9.800 (T-6th).
