Olhava, Smith Record Team-High 11 Kills in Loss to Wisconsin-Green Bay

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Gabri Olhava (Mount Prospect, Ill.) recorded 11 kills on a .296 hitting percentage but the University of New Hampshire volleyball team was defeated 3-1 by the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Friday's opening match of the Michigan Invitational Tournament at Cliff Keen Arena.
UNH won the first set, 25-23, but then lost the next three sets 22-25, 14-25, 21-25. The Wildcats are now 1-4 and Wisconsin-Green Bay remains unbeaten at 4-0.
Olhava's 11 kills tied for the team high with Kennedi Smith (The Woodlands, Texas), and Olhava, a junior captain, also recorded a team-best three service aces.

- Freshman setter Emma Patlovich (Lake Bluff, Ill.), the reigning America East Rookie of the Week, recorded a career-high 36 assists.
- Senior captain Courtney Bowman (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) almost recorded a double-double with 10 kills and nine digs.
SET 1
- There were eight ties and four lead changes in the opening set.
- With the set tied at 19, Wisconsin-Green Bay won three consecutive points but UNH went on a 4-1 run to level the score at 23 and continued that surge as the 'Cats closed out the first set on back-to-back kills by Olhava.
SET 2
- The Phoenix surged out to a 9-4 lead and fended off the Wildcats' late comeback to level the match at one set apiece with a 25-2 win in Set 2.
SET 3
- UNH trailed 7-4 when Wisconsin-GB won six of the next nine points to extend the advantage to 13-7.
- The difference ballooned to double digits, 21-11, as the designated visitors captured the set to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
SET 4
- There were 11 ties and seven lead changes in the fourth set; there were six tie scores before either team reached 10 points.
- With the score tied at 13, UNH won consecutive points to take a two-point lead for the first time in the set at 15-13.
- The Phoenix went on a 7-1 run to take a 20-16 lead.
- The Wildcats trimmed the margin to 21-20, but Wisconsin-GB surged ahead to match point at 24-20.
