Miller Records Career-High Five Points in 13-9 Loss at UConn

STORRS, Conn. – Devan Miller (Bristol, R.I.) recorded a career-high five points but the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was defeated 13-9 by the University of Connecticut at George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
UNH is now 0-3 and UConn improved to 2-2.
Miller scored twice and matched her personal best of three assists to lead the Wildcats' offense. Krissy Schafer (Longmeadow, Mass.) netted four goals and also had a team-high four draw controls.
Kate Clancy (Barrington, R.I.) was credited with five saves. Cat Sennott (Westford, Mass.) led the 'Cats in both ground balls (three) and caused turnovers (two).
UConn was led offensively by Grace Nolan (5g, 3a), Jacqueline Jordan (2g, 2a) and Kelsey Catalano (3g). Grace Belshian stopped nine shots.

GAME RECAP
- The Wildcats struck first on Gurello's unassisted goal at 27:59.
- UConn scored three goals in as many minutes to take a 3-1 lead it would not relinquish.
- Schafer finished a feed from Devan Miller (Bristol, R.I.) to lift the 'Cats within 3-2 at 22:05.
- The Huskies scored the next two goals to build a 5-2 lead at 13:36
- Miller set up Schafer again at 13:36 to trim the deficit to 5-3.
