Volleyball Led By Muses’ Double-Double, Falls to Bryant in Three Sets

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – 2015 America East Co-Player of the Year Demi Muses (Orangevale, Calif.) tallied 11 kills and 11 digs as the University of New Hampshrie volleyball team fell in three sets (20-25, 19-25, 21-25) at Bryant University Tuesday night.

-1st set-
UNH took a quick 3-0 lead in the set off of two Bulldog errors and a Bowman kill. Bryant quickly responded with three points of their own to knot it up at three. The 'Cats held a narrow one-point lead until scoring three straight points on a Muses kill, Tanski kill and a block by Tanski and Gabri Olhava (Mount Prospect, Ill.). Bryant responded with five straight points to take a 12-10 lead and they held onto it for the remainder of the set.
-2nd set-
UNH fell 8-2 early in set two before fight back to a two-point deficit, 17-15, on a block by Mali Jereczek (Green Bay, Wis.) and Muses. Bryant went on to score four straight points, 21-15, and solidfy the set win.
-3rd set-
Noone led the third set by more than three points until the Bulldogs rallied for three straight points late to take a 22-17 lead following two UNH attack errors. New Hampshire scored the next two points but then both teams traded the following five points and Bryant claimed the sweep, 25-21.
