HOW IT HAPPENED
(Rotation 1) Balance Beam, 48.875 – Team Total – 48.875 (2nd place)
The first two performers in the lineup –Doolin and Lia Breeden (York, Pa.)—tallied New Hampshire's top two scores; Doolin led off with a 9.800 before Breeden registered a 9.850, which was her top score since hitting for a career-high 9.900 on Jan. 30. That propelled the Wildcats to a 48.875 and second place, just 0.025 behind George Washington.
(Rotation 2) Bye
(Rotation 3) Floor Exercise, 49.100 – Team Total – 97.975 (2nd place)
Breeden set the tone as the leadoff performer with a terrific performance that earned a 9.850, which equaled her season high (Feb. 26) and a share of seventh place. Meghan Pflieger (Barneveld, N.Y.) followed up with a 9.875 (sixth), her second-highest mark of the season, and Doolin capped the Wildcats' 49.100 with a personal-best 9.900 (T-2nd).
(Rotation 4) Vault, 48.775 – Team Total – 146.750 (1st place)
UNH took over sole possession of first place in the fourth rotation. Marissa Toci (Mount Laurel, N.J.), who was held to only three competitions during the regular season due to injury, saved her best for last by scoring a team-leading and career-high 9.800 (T-10th) on vault. Doolin and Pflieger were strong for the third straight event, tying for 15th place with matching marks of 9.775. The Wildcats' 146.750 gave them the slight edge over George Washington and Pittsburgh, which were tied for second place (146.525).
(Rotation 5) Bye
Pittsburgh (195.675) moved ahead of George Washington (195.350) as the first two teams to complete four events.
(Rotation 6) Uneven Bars, 48.775 - Team Total - 195.525 (2nd place)
Regular-season uneven-bar champion Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) once again anchored UNH's bar lineup by scoring a 9.825 to earn a share of third place. Makenzie Kerouac (Merrimack, N.H.) also tied for third place with a 9.825 to grab All-Tournament First Team honors, and Courtney Bondanza (Buffalo, N.Y.) scored a 9.750 to tie for 16th place (All-Tournament Second Team).
