DURHAM, N.H. - Head Coach Gail Goodspeed and the University of New Hampshire women's gymnastics program announced the signing of two incoming student-athletes from the Class of 2021. Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) and Kylie Kratchwell (Sewell, N.J.) signed national letters of intent to join the program in the fall of 2017.
"We are excited to welcome Lauren and Kylie to the Wildcat gymnastics family," said head coach Gail Goodspeed. "Their energy in the gym and their skills on multiple events will bring versatility and depth to our lineup."
Diggan, who competed for coach Marty Amrich at Stallone Gymnastics, is a six-year Level 10 gymnast who captured the Pennsylvania all-around state championship in 2014 and 2015 before missing the 2016 season with a fractured tibia. She was the 2014 balance beam and floor exercise state champion and added the vault title to her collection the following year. Previously, Diggan was a Junior Olympic national competitor (2012, 2013, 2015) and was the ESGA League Level 10 Gymnast of the Year in '14 and '15.
Kratchwell, who competed for coach Kim Bonus at Will-Moore Gymnastics, is a two-time Level 10 Junior Olympic national competitor (2014-15) who took fifth place on beam at nationals in 2015, when her team placed second. She qualified for Level 10 regionals and states four straight years (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015). At the 2015 New Jersey State championships Kratchwell was the Beam runner up, and in the region 7 competition that year she finished third on beam, and was the All-Around runner up.
