Tailgating Policies
The University of New Hampshire is pleased to welcome Wildcat alumni, family, and friends to campus. Our goal is to facilitate a safe and fun tailgating environment for our community, with a commitment to health and safety for all who choose to tailgate at UNH home football games. To protect our students, the beautiful campus, and the surrounding community, all guests are required to tailgate responsibly.
Each tailgating participant will abide by the outlined policies and procedures or face revocation of privileges, including but not limited to: immediate cessation of tailgating; loss of future tailgating opportunities at UNH; additional probation or restrictions for the individual or organization; and/or fines. Fines and any other disciplinary consequences would only be levied by law enforcement action.
- In order to purchase a single-game parking pass, you must first purchase game tickets. You must have a game ticket to enter any tailgating lot, students included (in car or walking in). Prior to checkout you will be prompted to add a parking pass to your cart. Parking passes are limited to one per order due to the high demand for Family Weekend and Homecoming. We are currently sold out of tailgate parking for Family Weekend, any remaining holds will go on sale Monday of game week at 10am. We are releasing a limited number of non-alcohol tailgate passes passes in the Nesmith Lot on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 10am.
- The only way to guarantee Boulder Field access is to buy (2) two reserved season tickets. A minimum of two reserved season tickets must be purchased to qualify for one complimentary parking pass.
- Tailgating opens four (4) hours before kickoff and is permitted until the start of the game, at which point tailgating must cease.
- No re-entry is permitted into Wildcat Stadium for any patrons.
- Tailgating is not permitted while waiting in line to enter the official tailgating area.
- Alcohol must be in a vehicle to enter the tailgating area; pedestrians carrying alcohol into the tailgating areas will not be permitted.
- Excessive quantities of alcohol, which shall be determined at the discretion of University officials based on the number of patrons in the vehicle/party, will be subject to removal or confiscation.
- Vehicle capacity should not exceed the total number of seat belts (i.e., no fans entering in the bed of a pick-up truck).
- Tailgating passes may not be combined to fill more than one parking space.
- Tailgating is limited to the area directly behind the vehicle, with the parking pass properly displayed.
- Tents or canopies (may not exceed 10' x 10') are permitted but they must be an extension of the vehicle and be secured by weights or otherwise safely anchored.
- All patrons in designated tailgating lots must be prepared to show legal proof of age to an event staff member or police officer when requested as part of a spot check or suspicion of underage drinking.
- Open alcohol containers are prohibited outside tailgating areas.
- Boulder Field is a designated area for Season Ticket Members with limited availability for others, including student groups.
- Non-alcohol tailgating is offered at the Nesmith Hall Lot for Family Weekend.
