UNH Athletics Partakes in SHARPP Rally
DURHAM, N.H. – Members of the University of New Hampshire community joined in front of Thompson Hall on Thursday afternoon as part of the Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention Program’s (SHARPP) fourth annual anti-violence walk and rally to recognize April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Friends of UNH Skiing Golf Tournament Set for Saturday, May 10 (8:30 a.m.)
DURHAM, N.H. – The 22nd annual Friends of UNH Skiing Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, May 10, at The Links at Outlook golf course in South Berwick, Maine. The fundraising event, which is open to the public, is a four-person team scramble beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Oliver, Teschner Earn All-America Second Team; Skiing Finishes 11th at NCAAs
MIDWAY & PARK CITY, Utah – Randa Teschner (Petawawa, Ontario) and Coley Oliver (Salt Lake City, Utah) each earned All-America Second Team in slalom during Saturday’s alpine races at Park City Mountain Resort, and the UNH skiing team finished in 11th place (of 23 teams) at the 2014 NCAA Skiing Championships, hosted by the University of Utah.

Fourteen Skiers Receive All-Academic Team Accolade
DENVER, Colo. – Fourteen members of the University of New Hampshire ski team were named to the 2014 National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team as announced by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association earlier this week.

Larusson Leads Skiing to 12th Place Midway through NCAA Championships
MIDWAY, Utah – Katrin Larusson (Truckee, Calif.) registered a team-leading 18th-place finish Thursday in the women’s 5K classical Nordic race at Soldier Hollow, and the UNH skiing team moved into 12th place halfway through the 2014 NCAA Skiing Championships, hosted by the University of Utah.

Teschner Earns All-America Second Team at NCAA Ski Championships (Day 1 of 4)
PARK CITY, Utah – Randa Teschner (Petawawa, Ontario) earned All-America Second Team by virtue of Wednesday’s 10th place finish in giant slalom at Park City Mountain Resort to lead the UNH skiing team to 10th place on the first day of the 2014 NCAA Skiing Championships, hosted by the University of Utah.

Skiing's Larusson Named Rookie of Year; Five Wildcats Tabbed to All-East Second Team
HANCOCK & RIPTON, Vt. – UNH freshman Katrin Larusson (Truckee, Calif.) was named the EISA women’s Nordic Rookie of the Year to highlight five Wildcats named to the All-East Second Team. Larusson was joined by Nordic racers Eirik Fosnaes (Hovik, Norway) and Per Lindgren (Pitea, Sweden) and alpine skiers Coley Oliver (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Randa Teschner (Petawawa, Ontario).

Hopkins Headlines Ski Team's Fifth-Place Finish at EISA Championships
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Kris Hopkins (North Andover, Mass.) raced to sixth place in men’s giant slalom and the UNH skiing team finished in fifth place overall at the EISA Championships, which wrapped up Saturday at the Middlebury Snow Bowl and the Rikert Touring Center.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Coley Oliver (Salt Lake City, Utah) of the UNH skiing team tallied a fourth-place finish in men’s slalom and Eirik Fosnaes (Hovik, Norway) earned fifth place in the men’s 10K classic Nordic race to propel the Wildcats to fourth place Friday in the EISA Championships, hosted by Middlebury College.

STOWE, Vt. – Lizzie Gill (Bozeman, Mont.) registered the first top-10 result of her college career by racing to seventh place in the women’s classic sprint race to help the University of New Hampshire skiing team maintain its grasp on third place in the Vermont Carnival.

LONDON & PARK CITY, Utah – UNH Nordic skier Annika Taylor (Truckee, Calif.) has been tabbed to the British Nordic Ski Team and Wildcat alumnae Liz Guiney (Park City, Utah) was selected to represent the United States Ski Team at the U23 World Championships, which will take place in Val di Femme, Italy from Jan. 29-Feb. 3.

Ogle Powers Skiing to Third Place at UVM Carnival (Day 1 of 4)
STOWE, Vt. – Jay Ogle (Pittsfield, Mass.) tallied a fourth-place finish in men’s giant slalom and Laura Rozinowicz (Toronto, Ontario) took seventh place in women’s GS action Friday to help the UNH skiing team move into third place overall on the first day of the Vermont Carnival at Mount Mansfield.

DURHAM, N.H. – The UNH alpine skiing team opens the 2014 EISA season at the UVM Winter Carnival on Jan. 10-11. Friday will feature men’s and women’s giant slalom races, and Saturday follows with slalom races at Mount Mansfield.

Cannon Mountain to Serve as Skiing Home Mountain in 2014
FRANCONIA, N.H. – The UNH ski program and Cannon Mountain announced Thursday a partnership that makes Cannon Mountain the official home mountain for the Wildcats alpine skiing team for the 2014 Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) season.

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA awarded 523 host sites for 82 of its 89 championships spanning the 2014-18 seasons on Wednesday and UNH was named host of three events.

Alpine Skier Coley Oliver Selected to U.S. Team for World University Games
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Coley Oliver (Salt Lake City, Utah), a junior alpine skier for the UNH skiing team, was recently selected by USA Alpine Skiing to compete for the U.S. Men’s National University Team at the 2013 Winter World University Games from Dec. 11-21 in Trentino, Italy.

Skiing Honors Two-Time All-American & Skimeister Champions John and Kim Kendall
DURHAM, N.H. – The UNH ski team held its annual alumni recognition event at the Whittemore Center during the Nov. 16 men’s hockey game against Northeastern. Brothers John and Kim Kendall, who each were two-time All-Americans and NCAA Skimeister national champions, were honored in a ceremony held in the Skybox Lounge.

DURHAM, N.H. – The UNH ski program will hold the 2013 UNH Ski Team Sale at the Field House on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Skis, boards, skates and apparel, both new and used, will be for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the UNH Ski Program.

INDIANAPOLIS – Five UNH athletic programs have been honored by the NCAA for earning Public Recognition Awards based on their most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rate. These awards are distributed annually to teams with APRs in the top 10 percent in each sport.

NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine – Former UNH Nordic skier Liz Guiney (Park City, Utah) and current Wildcat junior Annika Taylor (Truckee, Calif.) have been nominated to the 2013-14 NENSA Elite Team, while sophomore Emily Larson (Boulder, Colo.) and incoming freshman Gavin Hess (Rochester, N.Y.) have been nominated to the NENSA Development Team.
