CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Ugochukwu Uche (Ann Arbor, Mich.) of the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team was named the America East Men's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday.
Uche notched a pair of goals on the week to help the Wildcats to a 2-0-0 record in two games. His first goal came in the 64th minute of play to help UNH top Brown, 1-0, Tuesday afternoon. His second tally of the week came in the 27th minute of play against Stony Brook (Oct. 12) as the Wildcats earned their second conference win by a score of 2-1. In total, he recorded five shots on the week.
On the season, Uche has three goals, two of which are game winners. He ranks second on the team in shots with 20.
The team is back in action Wednesday, Oct. 16 as the Wildcats host Hartford for a night tilt. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
