Swimming & Diving Names 2024-25 Team Captains

Chiara Maria Pradissitto, Emma Clarke and Carolyn Nelson to lead the Wildcats.
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire swimming and diving program has named senior Chiara Maria Pradissitto (Milan, Italy), senior Emma Clarke (Avon, N.Y.) and junior Carolyn Nelson (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) the team captains for the 2024-25 season.
"I think Chiara, Emma and Carolyn will bring the dedication, work ethic and enthusiasm we need to lead our team in the season ahead," said head coach Josh Willman. "They are great teammates themselves and with our largest incoming class they will be great mentors for the first years in our program."
Pradissitto, who was also a captain in 2023-24, is a six-time All-America East honoree including winning five relay gold medals at the America East Championships. This past season, Pradissitto won a silver medal in the 100 fly at the America East Championships and was a member of the conference record-setting 400 free relay team. Pradissitto, who recently won the team's Richard J. Hegerich Golden Goggle Award, was named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Swimming & Diving Team and to the 2024 America East All-Academic Team.
Clarke won a bronze medal in the three-meter diving event at the 2023 America East Championships earning All-America East accolades. This past season she posted two top-10 finishes at the America East Championships placing sixth in the three-meter diving competition and ninth in the one-meter event. Clarke was named the America East Diver of the Week on Nov. 1, 2022.
Nelson won a silver medal at the 2024 America East Championships as a member of the 800 free relay team. She also placed eighth in the 500 free and 10th in the 1650 free. Nelson also took bronze in the 800 free relay at the 2023 America East Championships, while she placed seventh in the 500 and 1650 free.
