Morgan Throws for Three Touchdowns in Blue/White Spring Game

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior quarterback Seth Morgan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) completed 14 of 21 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns in the University of New Hampshire football team's Blue/White Spring Game at Wildcat Stadium on Friday night.
Morgan, in his first semester at UNH after transferring from Shepherd University, threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to Joey Corcoran (Montreal, Quebec) in the first quarter, 4-yard TD to Myles Thomason (Montclair, N.J.) on the final play of the third quarter and a 25-yard strike to Zachary Kim (Monterey Park, Calif.) in the Red Zone Lockout, which was an overtime- structured period that followed the end of the third quarter.
QUARTERBACKS

- Rising sophomore Barry Kleinpeter (Savannah, Ga.) completed 9 of 12 passes for 61 yards and one TD. He also threw one interception. Kleinpeter was the second-leading rusher with 23 yards on five carries.
- Rising redshirt-freshman Matt Vezza (Elmhurst, Ill.) was 3 of 7 for 20 yards and an INT.
RUNNING BACKS
- Rising senior Isaac Seide (Everett, Mass.) was the top ground gainer with 33 yards on eight carries, which included a 14-yard score in which he attempted to go around the right end, but reversed direction and won the race to the left pylon.
- Seide also had one catch for 14 yards.
- Thomason, a rising junior, rushed eight times for seven yards. He also had two catches for five yards, including the TD, and a 14-yard kickoff return.
RECEIVERS
- A total of 13 Wildcats caught at least one pass. Eight 'Cats had multiple catches.
- Rising redshirt freshman Dylan Evans (Orchard Park, N.Y.) had a team-high four catches for 35 yards, including a long of 24.
- Kim finished with three catches for 41 yards, including the 25-yard touchdown.
- Rising sophomore Josh Fillion (Quebec City, Quebec) had a team-high 43 receiving yards on two catches with a long of 32.
- Rising junior Caleb Burke (Johnstown, Pa.) caught three passes for 30 yards.
- Rising redshirt freshman Wakeem Page (Erie, Pa.) had one catch – a 20-yard score from Kleinpeter on the opening possession of the Red Zone Lockout.
DEFENSE
- The defense scored a touchdown on a 98-yard interception return by rising senior safety Duncan Moreland (Beverly, Mass.).
- UNH recorded eight tackles for loss, including one sack by rising redshirt-freshman cornerback Tavian Williams (Wake Forest, N.C.).
- Rising junior Daps Olatunbosun (Lynn, Mass.) blocked a PAT kick.
- Rising junior safety Brendan Tighe (Lowell, Mass.) finished with a team-high eight tackles, including six solo stops.
- Rising junior linebacker Brandon Perkins (Williamstown, N.J.) was next with seven tackles, which included two behind the line of scrimmage.
- Rising sophomore safety Jackson Stone (Lebanon, N.H.) recorded the game's only other takeaway with an interception.
CAPTAINS
- Rick Santos, who is completing his third year as UNH head coach (including one as interim head coach), announced the five captains for the 2024 season:
- Offensive lineman Dylan Poirier (North Kingstown, R.I.)
- Defensive end Josiah Silver (Hampton, Va.)
- Wide receiver Logan Tomlinson (Manchester, Conn.)
- Linebacker Ryan Toscano (Bedford, N.H.)
- Safety Zedane Williams (Springfield, Mass.)

- The 2023 team awards were also announced during Friday's game.

- Most Valuable Player – Offense: Dylan Laube (Westhampton, N.Y.)
- Most Valuable Player – Defense: Joe Eichman (Merrimack N.H.)
- Eugene Auerbach Student-Athlete Award: Max Brosmer (Roswell, Ga.)
- Bo Dickson Spirit Award: Tyler Pereira (Narragansett, R.I.)
- Jack French Unsung Hero Award: Matt O'Neill (Weymouth, Mass.)
- Buck Buchanan Distinguished Service Award: Osho Omoyeni (Lowell, Mass.)
- Bob Demers 12th Player Award: Charles Briscoe III (Bowie, Md.)
- Bill Bowes/Sean McDonnell Coaches Award: Kyle Lepkowski (Adamstown, Md.)

- New Hampshire kicks off the 2024 season Aug. 29 at Central Florida.
- UNH's home opener is Sept. 14 (6 p.m.) against Stonehill.
- Family Weekend is Sept. 21 (3 p.m.) vs. Bryant.
- Homecoming is Oct. 19 (1 p.m.) vs. Rhode Island.
