Cavaliers score with just 21.3 seconds left in the second half
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – With just 21.3 seconds left in the second half, Joe Bell scored the game winner for the Cavaliers as the No. 19 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team fell to No. 15 Virginia, 1-0, at Klöckner Stadium in the season opener for both teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cavaliers had a scoring opportunity in the 26th minute, but senior Juan Velazquez (San Francisco, Calif.) was able to clear the ball off the line.
- Then in the 29th minute, senior Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) sent a shot from 25 yards out that was saved by Virginia goalie Colin Shutler.
- Graduate student Lars Huxsohl (Hamburg, Germany) made his first save as a Wildcat on a header by Kennedy Nwabia in the 42nd minute.
- Just 1:36 later, Huxsohl made a save on a shot by Aboubacar Keita.
- After the first half, each team took five shots, while the Cavaliers had two shots on goal and the Wildcats posted one.
- In the 56th minute, Prosper Figbe sent a header to the right corner of the goal but Velazquez was there to keep it out of the net.
- Huxsohl then made a save as Nathaniel Crofts blasted a shot from 20 yards out in the 63rd minute.
- Junior Donnett Sackie (Monrovia, Liberia) sent a shot just wide of the left corner of the net in the 72nd minute.
- Then in the 75th minute, Arling stole the ball then fired a shot from 12 yards out but Shutler was able to make the save.
- The Cavaliers netted the game winner when Bell sent a shot from eight yards out to the upper left corner of the net.
