DURHAM, N.H. – Seamus O’Neill (Manchester, N.H) of the football team and Lauren McCandless (Macungie, Pa.) of the women’s swimming and diving team were named the 2013-14 Jim Urquhart Student-Athletes of the year by the University of New Hampshire athletic department. The award was handed out on Tuesday night at the Senior Awards Banquet at Huddleston Hall.

Donegan Earns U-23 Australian National Cross Country Champion Title
TASMANIA, Australia – Sophomore runner Laura Rose Donegan (Melbourne, Australia) of the University of New Hampshire women’s cross country team ran to a sixth-place finish as she competed at the Australian Cross Country Championships on Aug. 31. She came in with a time of 29:55 in the 8K course. As a result of the strong performance, she is now the reigning U-23 Australian National Champion.

Men's and Women's Cross Country Announce 2013 Schedule
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire cross country program has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2013 fall season for both the men’s and women’s teams. The season kicks off with a home meet against Providence College on Aug. 31 (women – 11 a.m., men – 11:45 a.m.). The Wildcats are coming off runner-up finishes at the America East Championships in 2012.
