CENTERVILLE, MASS – University of New Hampshire junior harrier Cathy Parker (Westford, Mass.) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women’s Cross Country “Athlete of the Week” for a second time this season on Tuesday.
Parker became the first Wildcat in school history to earn top individual honors at the America East Championship. Her time of 16:50.30 was well-ahead of the rest of the field, including runner-up Marisa Ryan of Boston University with a time of 17:08.40. New Hampshire placed second as a team in the championship.
Parker’s next race is at the NCAA Regional Qualifier on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. in New York, N.Y.
