Volleyball Closes Out Spring Exhibition Play at the UNH Spring Tournament
DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire volleyball team concluded its spring exhibition schedule Saturday, hosting the UNH Spring Tournament at Lundholm Gymnasium.
New Hampshire won 7 of 8 sets against Division I opponents and 9 of 10 overall.
The set scores were as followed:
UNH 1, Harvard 1 (16-25, 25-21)
UNH 2, Hartford 0 (25-17, 26-24)
UNH 2, UMass Lowell 0 (25-18, 25-18)
UNH 2, Bryant 0 (25-23, 25-20)
UNH 2, UNH Alumni 0
Sophomore outside hitter Tori Forrest (Powder Springs, Ga.) notched 21 kills and 19 digs on the day. Forrest also logged a flawless serve percentage and tallied three aces. Freshman middle blocker Demi Muses (Orangevale, Calif.) earned 20 kills and 11 blocks for 31 points. Furthermore, Muses pitched 15 digs on the defensive front. Sophomore outside hitter Cassidy Croci (Sylvania, Ohio) finished with 16 kills on the strength of a .429 attack percentage.
Freshman setter Keelin Severtson (Delray Beach, Fla.) directed the offense with 46 assists and scooped up 13 digs. Sophomore defensive specialist Madison Lightfoot (Clarkston, Mich.) anchored the backcourt with 25 digs in the tournament.
