WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of New Hampshire volleyball team extended its winning streak to eight games after defeating the University of Hartford 3-0 at the Sports Center Saturday evening. The game scores were 30-24, 30-25, 30-26. UNH maintained its hold on first place in America East with an 8-1 league mark and 18-10 overall record, while the Hawks fell to 13-13 (3-6 America East).

Leading the way statistically for the Wildcats was junior Natasha Otte (Plymouth, N.H.) who recorded a match-high 11 kills and also had nine blocks. Lauren Knight (Cape Cod, Mass.) had 10 kills, while Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.) and Amy Dai (Calgary, Alberta) had nine kills apiece. Anne Davis (Groveland, Ill.) recorded 33 assists for the 'Cats.

Hartford was led by Stephanie Volckers who had 10 kills.

UNH returns to action next Friday (November 8) when the 'Cats travel to Binghamton for a 7 p.m. match. The next Wildcat home match is November 16 when New Hampshire entertains Maine in a 7 p.m. contest at Lundholm Gymnasium.
