New Hampshire Volleyball Overtakes Hartford, 3-1

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - Behind 18 kills apiece from Senior Jillian Ross (Naperville, Ill.) and sophomore Lauren Knight (Centerville, Mass.), the University of New Hampshire volleyball team overcame a first set loss to take a 3-1 victory over Hartford on Sunday.

After falling in the first set, 13-15, the Wildcats battled back with three straight sets, 15-2, 15-9, 15-4. Senior Stacy Barnett (Crystal Lake, Ill.) had a game-high 50 assists and 12 digs for the 'Cats. In addition to her 18 kills, Ross picked up 13 digs while posting an impressive .441 hitting-percentage. Just as impressive was Knight's .516 hitting-percentage with just two errors in 31 total attempts.

UNH finishes off the regular season at 22-10 overall and 13-3 in America East. Hartford ends its season at 7-19, 3-13 in America East.

The Wildcats begin the conference championships at Hofstra Nov. 18.
