New Hampshire volleyball broadcast on the internet

DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball match Nov. 11 at Hofstra University will be broadcast live on the internet. The match, which features the top two teams in America East, begins at 1 p.m. and can be heard on the following address --

UNH is 21-9 overall and 12-2 in the conference. Hofstra has earned the top seed in the league with a 14-0 America East ledger and a 19-10 overall record.

New Hampshire enters the match with a six-match winning streak. This week, UNH became the first team to sweep the America East weekly awards when Jillian Ross (Naperville, Ill.) won Player of the Week honors, Stacy Barnett (Crystal Lake, Ill.) captured the Setter of the Week and Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.) was tabbed Rookie of the Week.

The match also features two of the winningest volleyball coaches. UNH head coach Jill Hirschinger recorded her 500th career victory earlier this season (Oct. 15 vs. Drexel). Hofstra head coach Fran Kalafer also reached the 500 victory plateau this year. Both are in their 22nd year as a collegiate coach.

After battling Hofstra, the Wildcats play their regular-season finale Nov. 12 (1 p.m.) at the University of Hartford. UNH has secured a berth in the America East Championships, which will be played Nov. 18-19 at Hofstra University.
