New Hampshire women's track runs well at Husky Invitational

DEDHAM, Mass. - The University of New Hampshire women's track had a strong showing at the Northeastern University Husky Invitational on Saturday as freshman Wittly Jourdan (Somerville, Mass.) led the way, winning the triple jump (11.37 meters) and placing second in the 100m high hurdles with a time of 15.34 seconds.

Also having good meets for the Wildcats against some of the top colleges and universities in the northeast were sophomore Tracy Lambert (Barnstead, N.H.), who was third in the long jump (16-06.75 feet) and the triple jump (10.6m), senior Holly Spotts (Kearsarge), who finished second in the pole vault (11 feet), senior Valerie Williams (Merrimack, N.H.), who took third in the 400m (59.26), freshman Laurie Liskow (Strafford, N.H.), who was second in the javelin (38.56m), senior Lynda Joudrey (Reading, Mass.), who finished third in the 100m high hurdles (15.89) and fifth in the high jump (1.57m) and freshman Shannon Oltman (Edmonds, Wash.), who took third in the discus (40.34m).

The women's 4 x 400m relay team finished second (4:00.30), while the 4 x 100m team took third (49.40).

Other top ten finishers for the Wildcats were senior Amie McDonnell (Lebanon, N.H.) fourth in the 100m (12.60), sophomore Holly Prud'homme (Salem, N.H.) fifth in the 200m (26.40), junior Suzie Biron (Keene, N.H.) fifth in the 800m (2:28.47), senior Taryn Kenney (N. Attleboro, Mass.) seveth in the 1,500m (4:42.52), junior Alicia Anderson (Orleans, Mass.) sixth in the 400m intermediate hurdles (1:08.58) and third in the high jump (1.57m), freshman Kerry McGeoghan (Feeding Hills, Mass.) fourth in the high jump (1.57m), junior Shanna Mailloux (Bedford, Mass.) fourth in the pole vault (10 feet) and junior Nicole Wilkinson (Durham, N.H.) seventh in the hammer throw (40.82m).

Next up for the 'Cats are the Drake Relays (April 27-29) in Des Moines, Iowa.
