Read Competes on Day One of NCAA Regionals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior thrower Rosemary Read (West Greenwich, R.I.) of the University of New Hampshire women's track and field team competed Thursday on day one of the NCAA Regional Meet at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium.  

Read, who competed in the hammer throw event for the Wildcats, placed 45th overall on Thursday. The senior measured a toss of 167 feet and 10 inches to take the 45th spot. Read qualified for the meet with a school-record measurement of 186-05 two weeks ago at the ECAC/IC4A Championships.
