DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's and women's track and field program is now accepting registration for its 2014 Distance Running Day Camp (Jul7 20-23) and Track and Field Day Camp (July 28-August 1). The camps will take place at the Reggie F. Atkins Track (outdoor) and the Paul Sweet Oval (indoor) at the UNH Field House.
Both camps are open to male and female athletes from grades 7-12. Campers will learn the fundamentals and techniques of training from one of the most successful programs in New England. All participants are expected to bring their own shorts and shoes, but will be provided with any other necessary materials.
The distance running camp will highlight middle distance, distance, and cross country training from Sunday, July 20, to Wednesday, July 23. Camp will run from 4-7 p.m. each night. Pre-registration is available for $150 until July 20. Participants can also register the day of camp for $175. All pre-registered athletes will receive a t-shirt. The track and field camp will focus on sprints, jumps, hurdles, throws, and pole vault and will take place from Sunday, July 28, to Thursday August 1. Camp times are 4-7 p.m. with same-day registration starting at 3:30 p.m. on the first day. Early registration is available until July 27 with a cost of $150. Late registration is available on July 28 and costs $175. All pre-registered athletes will receive a t-shirt. For more information and to register online, click HERE.
