Salley, Reed, and Serrano Excel for Women’s Track on Day Two of Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Rosemary Read (West Greenwhich, R.I.), junior Jessica Salley (Andover, Mass.), and junior Chelsey Serrano (Raymond, N.H.) recorded season-best performances for the University of New Hampshire women's track and field team on day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational.

Read started things off for the Wildcats with a personal-best measurement in the hammer throw event. The senior posted a mark of 184 feet and 1 inch to take fourth place in the event.

Salley followed up with a fifth-place finish for UNH in the high jump. The junior jumper registered a season-best 5-07.00 measurement to take fifth.

The final competitor of the day, Serrano, logged a personal-record in the 5,000-meter race for UNH. The junior distance runner placed 23rd in the event with a time of 17 minutes and 1.70 seconds.

The Larry Ellis Invitational draws more than 120 collegiate programs and 1125 total athletes along with several competitors from non-collegiate track clubs. For the latest news and information on the UNH track and field program, check out
