DURHAM, N.H. – Senior Megan Donohue (Stratham, N.H.) submitted a pair of top-three performances to help lead the University of New Hampshire women's indoor track & field team to a quad-meet win on Saturday afternoon at the Paul Sweet Oval.
The Wildcats finished with 204.50 points, while the College of the Holy Cross (183.50), Stonehill College (97.50), and Worcester State College (94.50) rounded out the rest of the field.
Donohue placed first in the 500 meters in a time of one minute, 18.03 seconds. Donohue was also third in the long jump with a leap of 5.18 meters, while classmate Camille Quarles (Derry, N.H.) was second with a mark of 5.25m.
Senior Kaitlyn Dugan (Hatfield, Pa.) captured first place in the high jump with a leap of 1.54m. Dugan beat out four other competitors who also jumped 1.54, including freshman Katharine Schelling (Manchester, N.H.), as she reached the mark in fewer jumps.
Senior Chelsea Canavan (Stoneham, Mass.) won the 400 meters in a time of 59.30.
Junior Kaitlin Kwiecien (Hampstead, N.H.) ran to a first-place finish in the 800 meters in a time of 2:15.021, edging the runner-up by four-one thousandths of a second.
Senior Catherine Perella (Bedford, N.H.) finished first in the 1000 meters in a time of 3:02.88.
Freshman Samantha Graziani (Derry, N.H.) won the pole vault as she cleared a height of 2.75m.
Sophomore Elizabeth Campbell (Colonia, N.J.) placed second in the mile run in a time of 5:15.02.
The Wildcats' 4x400-meter relay team of sophomore Allison Brehm (Pembroke, N.H.), freshman Kathryn Darmody (Westport, Mass.), senior Kelly Thomas (Chichester, N.H.) and Perrella finished second in a time of 4:17.51. The 4x800 squad of sophomore Darcy James (Exeter, N.H.), freshman Elise Beattie (Woodstock, Ill.), senior Erica Jesseman (Scarborough, Maine) and Campbell were also second in a time of 9:54.11.
The Wildcats return to action Friday, Jan. 28 at the Reebok Indoor Games at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass.
