Carol Stevenson returns to the University of New Hampshire for her second stint with the women’s swimming & diving program as the diving coach. She served as the diving coach from 2001-07 during her first tenure with the team.
Stevenson graduated from the University of Connecticut where she received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 1982. As a student-athlete, she was a three-time finalist on both 1- and 3-meter boards at the NEWISDA Championships for the Huskies.
Carol came to diving from a strong background in gymnastics both as a competitor and a coach having coached at a number of competitive gymnastics clubs over the years. Prior to her first stint at New Hampshire, Carol coached club and high school diving in Massachusetts, producing several state champions including UNH men’s team record holder Matthew Stitham. While at UNH in the early 2000’s, Stevenson rebuilt the Wildcats diving program and coached many conference finalists, including school record holder on 3-meter and ECAC Champion Shana Dege.
